Myobrace® for Kids

Myobrace® is a preventive orthodontic treatment designed for growing children. It focuses on correcting poor oral habits and guiding proper jaw development, which may help reduce the risk of crooked teeth.

Unlike traditional braces that straighten teeth after they develop, Myobrace® supports natural growth during key developmental years.

How Myobrace® Works

Myobrace® is suitable for children aged 3 to 15. It uses removable appliances and guided exercises to improve oral function and support healthy dental development.

Myobrace® helps address:

  • Crooked or crowded teeth
  • Mouth breathing
  • Incorrect tongue posture
  • Narrow dental arches
  • Jaw misalignment

By correcting these factors early, Myobrace® supports more natural dental alignment as your child grows.

Removable Appliance and Exercises

The Myobrace® appliance is worn for 1 to 2 hours during the day and overnight while sleeping. It is removable, allowing normal eating and brushing.

Treatment also includes simple exercises to improve tongue posture and muscle function, supporting proper jaw development.

Benefits of Early Treatment

Myobrace® focuses on early intervention during important growth stages.

Potential benefits include:

Supporting healthy jaw development

Improving
oral habits

Reducing
severity of crowding

Encouraging proper
breathing patterns

Early treatment may help reduce the complexity of orthodontic treatment later.

Is Myobrace® Suitable for Your Child?

Your child may benefit from an assessment if they have:

Crowded teeth

 Mouth breathing

Thumb sucking habits

Early signs of misalignment

A consultation allows the dentist to evaluate your child’s growth and recommend suitable treatment.

When Mouth Breathing May Require ENT Assessment

Mouth breathing in children can sometimes be linked to nasal obstruction, making it difficult to breathe comfortably through the nose. This may be related to enlarged adenoids or tonsils, allergies or other nasal airway problems.

If your child has persistent mouth breathing or difficulty breathing through the nose, an assessment by an ENT specialist may be recommended to check for underlying nasal obstruction.

Depending on your child’s needs, Myobrace® treatment may be part of a cross-disciplinary approach alongside ENT care. Addressing nasal obstruction and other underlying factors can help support healthy breathing, oral function, jaw development and dental alignment.

Myobrace® is not a replacement for medical or ENT treatment when nasal obstruction is present.

    crooked teeth child prevent treatment

Usually due to Early Childhood Caries, the early loss of baby teeth in your child may result in drifting of the adjacent teeth into the empty space. This can lead to improper guidance of the erupting permanent teeth in that area, and eventual crooked teeth.
