Not at all! Invisalign aligners apply a constant gentle force to the teeth and are much more comfortable as compared to traditional braces.
Expect to see your dentist every 6 – 8 weeks for follow-ups and to fit your new aligner. This is less frequent than braces adjustments!

During your first Invisalign consultation, a treatment plan will be formulated and a simulation of potential outcomes will be generated for you. After your Invisalign treatment is complete, wearing your retainers for the first 3-6 months full-time is necessary to maintain straight teeth. After that critical period, please wear your retainers every night (ideally) to maintain your new smile.
